Focus on current affairs and improve your language skills.

Through this course, students have the opportunity to push their skills, techniques and confidence to a new level in a current and meaningful way. Keep up to date with current affairs and learn to understand and communicate with fluency.

During each lesson:

• You will develop the skills of reading and listening for the main ideas and specific information from the chosen text.

​

• You will learn to notice, understand and use grammar and language effectively (vocabulary, collocations, phrasal verbs etc.)

​

• You will develop your spoken fluency and interaction by responding to each of the texts, expressing your personal opinion or experience.

​

• You will develop your writing skills by writing a response to the text (this will have to be finished outside of class, and emailed on the date it is due).

• In group sessions you will benefit from speaking and discussing tasks with your classmates, this is a very valuable part of the learning process, and helps you to develop spoken fluency, cognitive skills; and make friends, of course! 

• One to one sessions are also available, please enquire for more information.
